Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in Arup's Malaysian Energy business? We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Transmission and Distribution Lead to join our team in Kuala Lumpur. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving growth and leading our Transmission and Distribution team. Your contributions will be essential in shaping the local and national Energy strategy and developing the design to ensure successful delivery. Your deep knowledge and expertise in the Malaysian electricity industry will make you a valuable peer resource for teams across the Australasian region.The Opportunity
Foster Team Growth: Cultivate the growth of the Transmission & Distribution team and enhance our service offerings. Ensure your team consistently delivers services that surpass client expectations.
Strategic Planning: Develop and execute longer-term plans that align with Arup's overarching business strategy and, specifically, the Energy strategy.
Engagement: Collaborate closely with Arup Business Leaders to nurture client relationships, secure project pipelines, and negotiate significant contracts.
Project Leadership: Provide crucial support in the development, design, and management of large and complex projects. This entails coordination of team, facilities, and resources while adhering to strict timelines and budgetary constraints.
Is this role right for you?
Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering with a primary focus of HV/EHV Design Management, HV/EHV Design and HV/EHV Design Review or similar area;
Relevant industry experience within the T&D design and consulting business environment;
Relevant experience with Conceptual Design, FEED and Detailed Design;
Membership of relevant professional institutions/professional peer bodies or significant credit towards eligibility for membership;
Proficiency in design and analysis software i.e., DIgSILENT, OpenTrac/OPN, ETAP, EMTP-RV, EMTP-ATP and CDEGS;
Relevant experience in leading and directing a dedicated team of Engineers and Technical Specialists in the provision of high-level technical expertise.
