Treasury Operations – MIS & Regulatory Reporting - (2500000A)Ensure accuracy and timely submission of periodic (daily/monthly/quarterly/yearly) Regulatory Reports related to treasury products to regulators, i.e., BNM, Securities Commissions according to submission deadline set by the regulators, including:Ringgit Operations Monitoring System (ROMS)
STATsmart reports (e.g., Financial Market Statistics, Repurchase Agreements, Over the Counter Derivatives etc)
External Sector Statistics (ESS) reports (e.g., Ringgit Settlement, Cash BOP etc)Treasury regulatory reporting is mostly automated.
The remaining exception handling requires the capability to understand treasury product and regulatory requirement to ensure the accuracy and timely reporting submission to the regulators.
For example, to adjust the Net Opening Positions, checking on and updating of partial incoming transactions, investigate on reporting outages, provide variance explanation on queries raised by the regulator etc.

Foreign Exchange (FX) / Islamic Foreign Exchange (FX)
Money Market/ Islamic Money Market Placement and Acceptance
Securities, Equities, NID/ Islamic Securities, AB-I, INI & NIDC
Structured Investments
Short Term Money Market Deposit (STMMD) and Short-Term Treasury Deposits-I (STTD-i)
Plain Vanilla Derivatives / Islamic Derivatives
Complex DerivativesIf manual reporting is required, staff is to access against the reporting requirements to include for reporting.
Review new/changes in the regulatory reporting guidelines made by the regulators, assess the impact on reporting, update the user requirements for IT to enhance the reporting extraction logic to ensure compliance with regulations.
Liaison with the Regulators, BU and internal support partners (Finance, MRM, CAF etc.)
on daily operation issues and clarifications pertaining to regulatory reports.
Preparation of department budget and monitoring of department cost.
Secretary of GM MOS meeting, including preparing presentation slides and taking meeting minutes.
Measure and analyze the productivity and all financial activities of the department on a monthly basis through ABC model and other reporting frameworks and prepare final reporting to management.
Identify areas to improve processes and straight-through processing (STP) opportunities to continue to deliver improved processes with consistent quality.
Participate in user acceptance testing, system implementation and process improvement.
Ensure strict compliance in all external and internal dealings with customers and controls are in place & implemented to mitigate operational risk.
Adherence to internal operations policies and regulatory compliance.
To handle any ad hoc assignments from time to time.
QualificationsPreferably knowledge dealing with Treasury products.
Self-motivated and able to work as a team.
Possess a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Able to work fast, independently and under pressure.
