Job Summary:
The Tyre Technician is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and replacing tyres on various vehicles, ensuring quality service, safety, and customer satisfaction. This role requires attention to detail, technical knowledge of tyre maintenance, and effective communication with customers and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Tyre Inspection and MaintenanceInspect tyres for wear, damage, and other safety concerns.
Rotate, repair, and replace tyres as needed.
Balance tyres and ensure correct alignment as per manufacturer specifications.Repair and ReplacementUse specialized tools to remove and install tyres on various vehicle types.
Patch, plug, and perform other necessary repairs on damaged tyres.Customer ServiceAdvise customers on tyre safety, wear, and available replacement options.
Provide an estimated cost and time for tyre services.Equipment MaintenanceMaintain tyre-changing and balancing equipment in good working order.
Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.Inventory ManagementAssist in inventory management by reporting low stock levels of tyres and related equipment.
Ensure accurate recording of tyres used, replaced, and disposed of.Safety ComplianceFollow all safety procedures and guidelines.
Ensure all work is compliant with company standards and local regulations.Qualifications and Skills:
Experiencein tyre maintenance, repair, and replacement.
Knowledge oftyre safetyandalignment procedures .
Ability tolift tyresand operate tyre-changing machinery.
Strongattention to detailandproblem-solving skills .
Excellentcommunication skillsfor interacting with customers and team members.
Driver's licenseis preferred.
