We are seeking to fill the position ofLogistics Associate G6 (Customer service),based in theUNHRD Malaysia .
ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT
Global hunger has reached alarming levels in 2022, and WFP, the Nobel Peace Prize winner in 2020, remains dedicated and committed to address this global food crisis.
The United Nations Humanitarian Response Depot (UNHRD) is a network of strategically located hubs established to support humanitarian organizations and the broader international community in responding to emergencies and crises.
UNHRD provides essential services such as storage, easy access to critical supplies, and technical assistance.
As a team member of the UNHRD Hub based in Subang station, you will contribute to managing logistics and warehouse management services effectively, maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance in all activities.
THE ROLE
To provide specialized support functions and/or supervise staff performing standard logistics/supply chain processes and activities to enable effective delivery of goods and services for all delivery modalities and to coordinate and guide the execution of customer service tasks to enable efficient and effective delivery of service requests.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES(not all-inclusive, nor exhaustive)
Coordinate requests throughout the supply chain process and ensure timely delivery of commodities and supplies to authorized partners and destinations.
Maintain effective communication with relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Proactively identify, resolve, and/or provide recommendations on specialized queries/requests with a client-focused mindset.
Provide specialized support to logistics operations and activities, ensuring the effective predisposition and delivery of emergency items to meet the customer's requirements.
Contribute to the effective delivery of humanitarian assistance and logistics support in the UNHRD Hub.
Support with predictive analyses to anticipate requests of the different partners based on the evolving humanitarian needs.
Ensure UNHRD has sufficient predisposed emergency kits/items to meet anticipated customers' request.
Monitor inventory management processes and track trends to ensure accurate stock records.
Coordinate the maintenance of records and databases.
Work closely with the other hub team members to ensure customers' request and expected timelines can be met.
Collaborate with warehouse staff to optimize effective operational planning, storage and handling processes.
Ensure coordination and alignment with the Hub teams, manage key accounts, and maintain customer satisfaction, ensuring accurate and timely information sharing.
Identify evolving client needs, recommending changes for process improvement in customer service.
Continuously seek opportunities and actively contribute to efforts to enhance customer service procedures and tools through increased digitalization.

SPECIFIC POST REQUIREMENTS(As required by the Hiring Manager)
Essentials:
Experience in using logistics software and supply chain management software i.e.SAP, excel, word etc.
Experience with warehouse and inventory management
Excellent detail-oriented and problem-solving skills in managing logistics and customer service information.
Excellent quality Customer Service and organizational skills to meet client's needs.
Excellent analytical skills.
Desirables:
Knowledge of another UN language at B level is an advantage.
Experience working in a United Nations common system, international or non-governmental organization.
STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Education:Completion of secondary school education.
Additional training in logistics, supply chain management, or related field is desirable.
Language:Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both oral and written.
Experience:Minimum 6 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, warehouse management.
Skills and Knowledge:
Ability to work under pressure and consistency in delivering quality work.
Ability to provide high-quality services and to meet client's needs.
Takes initiative and uses sound judgment to address and resolve issues.
Intercultural awareness and competence to collaborate effectively and respectfully with colleagues from diverse backgrounds/nationalities/ages and beliefs to achieve organizational goals.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
General Service Staff positions are recruited locally.To be considered for this role, applicants must be citizens of the country where the job is located or have a valid visa/work permit and live within a reasonable commuting distance (1.5 hours) from the workplace at the time of application.
If not residing within commuting distance at the time of application, candidates must reside already in Malaysia and be willing to relocate to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, at their own cost before taking up the assignment.
WFP will not cover relocation costs, living expenses, or assistance with residency or work permits.
WFP offers a competitive compensation package which will be determined by the contract type and selected candidate's qualifications and experience.
