THE ROLE
Stonyhurst International School Penang is thrilled to announce the opening of our Sixth Form in the 2024/2025 academic year. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated University Counsellor to join our team and support our pupils as they navigate their academic and career aspirations in close collaboration with the Head of Sixth Form.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Work alongside the Head of Sixth Form to develop and implement a comprehensive university counselling program.
Provide expert guidance on university selection, application processes, and entrance requirements.
Assist pupils in crafting strong personal statements and preparing for interviews.
Organise university fairs, workshops, and guest speaker events to broaden pupils' understanding of post-secondary options.
Collaborate with staff, parents, and external partners to enhance university readiness.
Offer pastoral support and advice on academic pathways and career options.
REQUIREMENTS
A degree in Education, Psychology, Counselling, or a related field.
Experience in university counselling or similar roles is essential, preferably within an international school setting.
Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to student development.
Knowledge of higher education systems and application processes, particularly for UK universities.
