DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe successful candidate can look forward to supporting Directors in conducting desk research, liaising with research partners, preparing valuation models and identifying interesting stories in the data while supporting the Communications team to engage media/outreach partners, plan press release dates and develop sector-specific marketing or engagement activities.
The responsibilities include:
Leading and managing valuation projects, including financial modelling and intangible asset analysis
Preparing detailed valuation reports that communicate findings, insights and recommendations to clients while ensuring compliance with industry standards
Reviewing valuation models, methodologies and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance
Providing guidance to junior team members
Promoting a culture of excellence within the team
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLSA Bachelor's or Master's degree in a numerate subject (e.g.
Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Science)
A second degree (e.g.
MA, MSc, MBA) or professional qualification (e.g.
ACCA, CPA, CFA) is advantageous
6+ years of relevant experience in valuation and/or marketing, preferably in an advisory or consultancy role
Strong proficiency in financial modelling, valuation methodologies, and accounting principles
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
Professional fluency in spoken and written Chinese
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Able to multi-task and manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
Familiarity with valuation software and databases (e.g., Bloomberg, Capital IQ etc)
Good writing and communication skills
Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint proficiency; experience with VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) is an added advantage
Work professionalism, meticulosity, proactiveness, team collaboration, positivity and good time management are advantageous traits
Malaysian citizenship or residency
