Description
1. Test, verify, certify and mark all weighing and measuring equipment as provided in the Weight and Measure Act 1972.
2. Approve all weight and measuring equipment in compliance with the provisions of the Weights and Measures Act 1972.
3. Comply with all performance standards set by the company and the Government of Malaysia under the Weights and Measures Act 1972.
Company
Metrology Corporation Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (MCM) was established with the sole objective of providing the verification and re-verification services for all weighing and measuring instruments used for trade in Malaysia. All weighing and measuring instruments used for trade need to be verified first before use and re-verified once every twelve months thereafter as stipulated by the Weights and Measures Act 1972. It is an offence to use weighing or measuring instruments without valid verification or re-verification.
