DescriptionCorporate Finance & Investment Banking (Banking & Financial Services) provides analytical support for investment and strategic business decisions related to investment opportunities and capital structure execution. Develop and maintain due diligence and oversight frameworks for portfolio management activities. Enhance existing management information for relevant stakeholders.
Job Descriptions:Responsible for supporting the company investments team on deal sourcing and screening, overseeing/providing direction to team in the creation of investment model, managing the execution of due diligence/closing process and supporting on dispositions.
Accountable for accuracy of investment model, supporting the company top management on debt financing executions, and supporting in all aspects of process.
Develop talent, contribute towards the company achieving its established goals, and actively participate in the development and execution of planning, strategy, and research initiatives.
Execute the market due diligence program for potential acquisitions and new developments, further to source and screen new investment opportunities for marketed deals via brokerage community; for off-market deals via established and new industry contacts.
Create all inputs in the investment analysis and business plan. Particular areas of focus will be to establish supporting of unlevered return hurdle and exit cap rate, financing assumptions, Development/Cap Ex budget estimate, analysis of IRR, NPV, ROI, and other relevant valuation/return metrics.
Manage the operations due diligence for target acquisitions as well as support in drafting, negotiating, executing, and implementing the Purchase and Sale Agreement and all other leases, contracts, and binding legal documents.
Communicate effectively (both written and oral) with operations, executives, lenders, investors, and partners key underwriting assumptions and drivers for each deal.
Maintain a level of knowledge of current portfolio operating performance and resourcefully incorporates it into the underwriting process to enhance accuracy.
Coordinate ongoing research of the relevant target industry to detect market trends and related information for analysis in defining investment strategies and so to draw conclusions and make recommendations based upon analysis.
Qualifications & Experience:Qualifications - Bachelor's degree required with Finance or Economics major, professional qualification such as CFA, CIMA, ACA, ACCA (or equivalent) are preferred.
Professional Experience - Minimum 5 years of experience in the position, conducting industry M&A and project finance transactions at an investment bank, private equity fund. A minimum of 7 years total work experience is preferred.
Proven investment sourcing skills including the ability to develop market mapping strategies, generate targets and qualify investment opportunities, and build/maintain a network of contacts with management teams, investment bankers/intermediaries, social networks and other relevant centers of influence.
Fluency in all facets of the private equity investment process, including diligence, financial and business analysis, and transaction negotiation. Must possess the ability to build financial models, valuation and risk/reward analyses for potential opportunities and how to develop/maintain a documentation process for all investments, including investment memorandums and deal structure summaries.
Demonstrated leadership skills: proactive, thoughtful, good listener, non-egotistical, ability to handle conflict, high-level of emotional intelligence, and a consensus builder.
