About the RoleAs Vice President for the South-East Asia data centre division, you will lead complex projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
This role will require a strong technical foundation, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to manage diverse stakeholders effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Support land acquisition initiatives and provide technical and commercial advice during the pre-land acquisition phase.
Oversee data centre projects, from design stages to commissioning and handover.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and progress with internal teams, external consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks, both upstream with clients and downstream with contractors and consultants.
Contribute to design and procurement decisions, address issues impacting construction progress, and ensure quality control.
About YouThe ideal candidate is an experienced project manager with a proven track record in the data centre industry and the ability to navigate the complexities of the South-East Asia market.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
Experience : 12-15+ years of work experience, with 5-7+ years dedicated to data centre projects, including at least 2-3 full project lifecycles.
Technical Expertise : Engineering or design management experience, with a strong understanding of local construction costs and supply chains.
Leadership : Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and engage effectively with stakeholders.
Education : Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services), Construction Management, or a related field.
Regional Knowledge : Malaysian experience preferred, though regional experience in Asia will also be considered.
