The Video Editor will be responsible for assembling raw footage into polished, engaging, and high-quality episodes for micro series productions.
This role involves managing the post-production process, including video editing, sound design, pacing, and visual enhancement, to deliver short-form episodic content that resonates with audiences.
The ideal candidate has a strong creative eye, technical expertise, and the ability to work efficiently within tight timelines to ensure seamless storytelling.
Job Description
Edit raw video footage into completed microseries episodes, ensuring high production quality and strong visual storytelling.
Collaborate with directors, producers, and creative teams to understand the creative vision, pacing, and structure of the episodes.
Enhance video content by incorporating transitions, graphics, visual effects, music, and sound design to match the desired tone and mood.
Ensure edits are optimized for various platforms and formats, including streaming services, social media, and mobile viewing.
Review and refine edits based on feedback from stakeholders, making revisions to meet creative and product standards.
Organize, manage, and archive all video assets, ensuring proper file structure and backup for future use.
Apply colour correction and grading to enhance video aesthetics and maintain consistency across episodes.
Troubleshoot technical issues in post-production and ensure delivery within project timelines.
Stay updated on the latest video editing techniques, tools, and trends to continuously enhance content quality.
Job Requirements
2-4 years of experience in video editing, preferably for short-form content, micro series, web series, or episodic productions.
Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent tools.
Experience with motion graphics and visual effects using software like Adobe After Effects.
Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, and visual flow, particularly for short-form content.
Technical expertise in colour correction, audio synchronization, and sound design.
Ability to optimize video formats for various platforms, ensuring quality across streaming and mobile viewing.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.#J-18808-Ljbffr
