Job Overview:
As a videographer at Sometime, you should specialize in capturing and producing video content for various purposes, including events, marketing, corporate communications, entertainment, and social media. A videographer also plays a crucial role in visual storytelling through video, requiring a blend of technical skills, creativity, and effective communication. Whether working independently or as part of a team, videographers must be adept at managing all aspects of video production to deliver compelling and high-quality content.
Job Responsibilities:
Pre-Production Planning


-Understand creative briefs and objectives from the creative team or marketing team.


-Develop storyboards and shot lists to outline the filming plan.


-Scout locations to determine the best settings for filming.


-Arrange and prepare necessary equipment (cameras, lighting, audio gear).
Filming


-Set up and operate cameras, ensuring proper framing, focus, and exposure.


-Manage lighting to achieve the desired visual effect.


-Capture high-quality audio using microphones and recording devices.


-Direct subjects and provide guidance to ensure the best performance and visual outcome.
Post-Production


-Import and organize video footage.


-Edit video using software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effect, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.


-Add graphics, special effects, and animations if needed.


-Incorporate music, sound effects, and voiceovers to enhance the video.


-Color correct and grade footage to achieve the desired look.


-Export and deliver final video files in the required formats.
Project Management


-Manage project timelines to ensure on-time delivery.


-Communicate regularly with the internal team to provide updates and gather feedback.
Technical Skills


-Proficient with various camera equipment and stabilization tools.


-Skilled in video editing software and techniques.


-Knowledgeable about lighting setups and audio recording methods.


-Ability to troubleshoot technical issues on set and during editing.

-Video editing skills, including seamlessly integrating captions, soundtracks, sound effects, and visual elements.


-Ability to handle pre- and post-production tasks, such as setting up and operating photo/video equipment (lighting, audio, and camera).


-A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Media, Arts, Design, Creative Multimedia, Mass Communications, or a related field, with 1-2 years of experience preferred.
