About the DepartmentTheFinance and Corporate Servicesfunction manages the financial and administrative needs of the Group to help achieve its business goals.
Job ResponsibilitiesPrepare and/or review information/supporting schedules for tax computation. Analyze the nature of transactions and recommend/determine the appropriate tax treatment.
Work closely with tax agent in preparation of tax computation and tax returns to ensure accurate and timely review of tax computation and submission of tax return.
Prepare computation for deferred tax and income tax as well as disclosures for financial reporting purposes.
Prepare tax computation for tax estimation.
Review withholding tax checklist and the related supporting documents (e.g. invoices, agreements, etc.) to advise/determine withholding tax treatment/implication.
Preparation/review of service tax return and the related supporting workings.
Work with the relevant stakeholders to complete transfer pricing documentation.
Attend to tax related queries from both the external and internal stakeholders in the areas of corporate tax, withholding tax, transfer pricing, service tax, etc.
Liaise with tax agents, auditors and tax authorities on tax related matters and compile the requested information/documents timely.
Coordinate with Payment team to ensure timely income tax payment.
To undertake other ad-hoc assignments/projects as assigned, when required.
Job RequirementsPossess a University Degree or professional qualification in Accountancy/Taxation.
Minimum of 8 years of related working experience in tax preferably with big accounting firms and/or banks.
Strong understanding of tax regulations and practices.
Responsible, mature and able to work independently as well as a good team player.
Analytical with attention to details.
Able to multi-task, prioritize work and meet deadlines.
