To be responsible for performing all clerical and reception services for the ward. To assist with the wards' cost control and charging procedures. To comply with any general work directions from the Nurse Manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, or Team Leader while in the ward. To rotate in all ward areas.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Report to the workstation punctually with proper grooming as per guidelines.
Participate in shift rotations per the duty roster.
Deliver excellent customer service to support hospital profitability.
Maintain confidentiality and protect the hospital's assets and reputation.
Answer phone calls and manage inquiries.
Follow hospital security protocols and report any suspicious activities.
Attend relevant training programs as required.
Perform clerical duties: preparing, compiling, typing, filing, and record maintenance.
Assist with bed management and coordinate with other departments for appointments.
Support the admission, discharge, and transfer processes, including updating records and coordinating billing.
Ensure accurate patient billing and charges.
Ensure that all dispatches (refund drugs, memos, notification forms etc) are sent out to the appropriate ward or departments.
Assist the insurance counter.
Pass all claim forms directly to the business office.
Engage with departmental quality initiatives and perform other tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Minimum SPM or equivalent.
At least 1 year of relevant experience, preferably in customer service.
Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
Pleasant personality with strong communication skills and good telephone etiquette.
Willing to work extra hours when necessary.
Able to work shifts.
