JOB DESCRIPTION:
Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services.
Keep abreast of existing trends in the shipping industry, liaise and negotiate with freight forwarders for the best shipping rates and lorry forwarders for local transportation insurance rates.
Ensure security of warehouse environment and maintain access control, ensuring 5S housekeeping standards are always maintained.
Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs, and efficiency.
Resolve any arising problems or complaints (internally or externally from our buyers and marketing teams).
Meet cost, productivity, stock accuracy (NAV), and KPI targets. Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts and reconcile with data storage systems.
Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
Comply with laws, regulations, and ISO requirements.
Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.

Complete warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees.
Maintain warehouse and logistics staff by recruiting, orienting, and training employees.
Ensure stock and FG inventory accuracy and the correct quantities are shipped to our buyers both local and foreign.
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all inventory transactions and physical movement of materials from receipt to stocking to distribution.
Maintain accuracy of inventory by cycle count, physical inventories, and implementation of corrective actions.
Oversee outgoing shipment activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
Ensure each carton of FG is scanned during container loading and results forwarded to the FM/AFM.
Participate with purchasing and customer service to reduce shipping expenses through carrier contracts.
Monitor the movement of DME tanks to ensure there are no penalty charges.
Ensure the activities of the warehouse and shipping department are conducted in a safe environment and fully support the SHC activities in Samurai. Implement appropriate safety guidelines and investigate injuries or unsafe conditions.
QUALIFICATION:
Possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Store or Warehouse Management or any related field.
At least 5 to 8 years of experience in Store or Warehouse Management.
Experienced in Logistics and Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Ability to build strong business relationships with suppliers, and third-party logistics, service vendors, etc.
Familiar with various problem-solving techniques to resolve business and organization issues.
Proven leadership ability with good negotiation and people management skills.
Proficient in both written and presentation skills.
High tenacity, resilient, and able to work in a high-pressure environment to meet tight deadlines.#J-18808-Ljbffr
