Waste Water Technician

Perform all aspects of sampling, monitoring, lab inventory and testing required to maintain compliance with DOE regulations governing the wastewater treatment process.
Collect samples and identify concentrations of chemical, physical or biological characteristics of wastewater required in accordance with DOE requirements.
Gather and test wastewater samples for plant efficiency reports as required in accordance with DOE requirements.
Perform quality control tests on lab equipment and lab analyses.
Assure that the plant operates within required standards.
Monitor the performance of all lab equipment, gauges and charts in the treatment plant.
Record statistical data concerning plant operations.
Make adjustments on chemical dosing to control the treatment process when necessary.
Report to superior on malfunction or breakdown of wastewater equipment.
Ensure all equipment is calibrated as scheduled.
Follow ISO, Safety and other regulatory requirements at all times in the workplace.
Any other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least STPM/Diploma in Engineering (Chemical/Environmental) or equivalent.
At least 1-2 years of experience in Chemical within the manufacturing environment is required for this position.
Certification in CePIETSO is compulsory.
Good problem solving, data analysis, and communication skills.
