We are seeking a motivated and skilledWater Treatment Executiveto oversee the daily operations of the water supply, river water treatment, and wastewater treatment systems. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership in optimizing processes, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with water quality standards and environmental regulations. This role involves managing daily operations, monitoring system performance, conducting inspections, and ensuring the safe and efficient use of chemicals. The Water Treatment Executive will collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and lead safety compliance efforts to ensure the highest standards of performance, safety, and environmental sustainability are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the water supply, river water treatment, and wastewater treatment systems, ensuring compliance with water quality standards and DOE discharge requirements.
Optimize and troubleshoot processes, promptly resolving operational issues and providing on-site support as needed.
Revise and update process and technical documents, including SOPs and work instructions for water and wastewater treatment.
Monitor the performance of water and wastewater treatment systems, addressing non-compliance issues that affect efficiency, including comparison with external lab results.
Manage chemical planning and inventory, track deliveries, and liaise with the QE department to ensure proper acceptance of chemicals.
Monitor daily chemical and electricity usage, ensuring costs remain within the company's annual plan target and department KPIs.
Supervise subordinate work arrangements, ensuring discipline and efficiency for smooth operations of the water treatment process.
Ensure safety compliance, managing confined spaces, chemical handling, and the Permit to Work (PTW) system with the safety department.
Implement HIRARC and emphasize compliance with safe work practices; report safety incidents to the superior and safety department immediately.
Participate in safety and environmental meetings, liaise with safety and environmental personnel to ensure compliance with DOE, DOSH, MOH, LUAS, and PTG standards.
Ensure full compliance with environmental, safety, health, and 7S requirements, and maintain good housekeeping at the water treatment plant.
Perform additional tasks as assigned by the superior and management, supporting and achieving company objectives and KPIs.
Qualifications:
A Degree or Diploma in Environmental, Chemical or related.
At least 3 years of working experience in Water Treatment Plant.
Proficient in both spoken and written English and Malay.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
