Responsibilities
Set up and operate hand and power tools common to the trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.
Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Read and interpret technical drawings and take measurements for layouts and procedures.
Determine appropriate welding equipment or method based on project requirements.
Set up components for welding according to specifications.
Operate angle grinder to prepare parts that must be welded, and align components using calipers, rulers, and clamping jigs.
Weld components manually in various positions (vertical, horizontal, overhead).
Required skills and qualifications
Professional welding certification.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, reports, instructions, procedures, and guidelines.
Proven success as a welder.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Good communication skills.
Preferred skills and qualifications
Professional certification 3G and 3F onwards.
Experience with MIG and TIG welding.
