Responsible for handling full set of accounts & reviewing monthly management accounts and performing month-end closing timely and accurately.
Responsible for day-to-day account operations, including monitoring cash flow updates on a daily basis.
Responsible for preparing the budget/forecast of the company, analyzing discrepancies with actual performance, and disclosing root causes for decision-making.
Responsible for supervising account associates and providing assistance and/or guidance to them in executing their duties.
Responsible for handling tax-related matters dealing with the IRB, such as tax estimation, tax field audits, or tax investigations, if any.
Perform monthly reconciliation schedules and follow up on outstanding items, such as creditors, debtors, inter-company, and bank reconciliation.
Accountable for initiating year-end stock take and audit processes.
Responsible for SST matters, including submission deadlines, calculations, claims, and reporting.
Ensuring all AR & AP invoices are completely accounted for month-end closing purposes, within the stipulated time frame.
Handle and settle pending issues before month-end closing, such as AR & AP reconciliation activities, and proactively resolve any issues before the closing date.
Produce monthly debtors & creditors aging reports for collection, payment, and management review purposes, ensuring timely monthly account closure with necessary reconciliations done.
Also, produce and analyze financial reports for company performance review and ensure account readiness complying with all statutory timelines.
Responsible for managing, coordinating, and liaising with various government and other external parties (company secretary, external auditor, tax agent, financial institution, insurance agents, etc.)
regarding statutory audits and matters arising.
Provide support in account-related matters, collaborating with other internal departments, management, as well as other groups of companies related to Sin Hock Soon Group.
Depending on account functions assigned, the incumbent will be responsible mainly for execution and planning processes, which may entail a variety of related tasks ranging from preparation of documents, obtaining approvals, updating reports, and providing ad hoc accounting support and clerical/admin support.
