Job Title : Accounts Executive Reports to : Finance / Accounts Manager / General Manager Overview: We are seeking a competent and diligent Accounts Executive to join our company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various financial tasks, including but not limited to accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, financial reporting, and budgeting. The role demands attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities: Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and receipts. Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information. Prepare and process journal entries for month-end and year-end closing. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures. Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation. Assist with budget preparation and monitoring of financial performance against budgetary targets. Conduct periodic financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Assist in the implementation of accounting software and systems upgrades. Provide support during audits by external auditors and regulatory authorities. Stay updated on relevant accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends. Perform ad-hoc financial tasks and projects as assigned by management. Participate in Office Administrative duties, as assigned by the management. Requirements: Formal Qualification (Degree, Diploma) in Accounting, Finance, or related field Proven experience 5-6 years working in accounting or finance roles, preferably in an Engineering, Technical Supply and Service company. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and local Malaysian practices. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Professional certification in accounting will be an advantage.
