Job ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage all aspects of the accounting department's daily operations, encompassing financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, cash flow monitoring, stock management, profit & loss and monthly management report.
Supervision of day-to-day accounting activities and to control, maintain and review overall accounting and financial reporting functions.
Lead initiatives to strengthen internal controls and enhance financial systems for efficiency and accuracy.
Provide guidance and mentorship to finance team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.
Manage all accounting and financial reporting functions, including APs, treasury, fixed assets, inventories, taxes, financial accounting and management account as well as managing its statutory reporting and compliance requirements.
Supervise and mentor a team of junior & senior accountants, providing regular performance feedback and training to support skill development.
Oversee the daily accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL), ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
Produce financial reports related to budgets, account payables, account receivables, expenses etc.
Identify opportunities for improvement within accounting workflows and internal controls, recommending solutions to streamline operations.
Help plan the annual budget including income and expenditure projections, cash flow and trial balance.
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Implement and maintain internal controls and accounting policies to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations including liaising with external auditors, banks, and tax authorities as required.
Contribute accounting information and propose recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
Undertake other related jobs as directed by the superior from time to time.
Requirements and QualificationsMin Bachelor's Degree or Professional Qualification in Finance / Accountancy or related field.
Over 3 years in a managerial role overseeing a team.
More than 5 years of experience in financial reporting and accounting.
Profound knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Knowledge in AutoCount Accounting Software will be an added advantage.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Problem-Solving Abilities; adept at identifying issues and finding solutions.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements and develop SOPs within Finance.
Ability to work closely with senior management, including direct and indirect reporting to the Managing Director.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Professional certifications (CPA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent) are a plus.
Outgoing, hands-on, and well-mannered in communication with team members and other departments.
Adaptable to work in a young and energetic team environment.
