Account & Relationship Management (Sales)
Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger management, account reconciliations, and month-end closings.
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements (balance sheet, P&L, etc.) and reports for internal use.
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and payments.
Handle journal entries, accruals, and adjustments with a keen focus on accuracy.
Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's long-term growth objectives.
Conduct financial analysis to assess the company's overall performance, including profitability, cost optimization, and risk management.
Provide insights and recommendations for improving cash flow, investments, and cost structures.
Compliance & Regulatory Knowledge
Ensure the company adheres to Malaysian and ASEAN financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting standards, including SST, GST, and income tax.
Prepare and submit tax filings and liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.
Stay updated on changes in ASEAN financial regulations and provide strategic advice on cross-border financial operations.
Financial Planning & Budgeting
Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring that financial targets are met and financial resources are allocated efficiently.
Perform variance analysis and provide reports on budget adherence and potential financial risks.
Cash Flow Management & Treasury
Monitor and optimize cash flow to ensure the company's liquidity and operational efficiency.
Implement strategies to improve working capital, manage credit, and mitigate financial risks.
Responsibility
Manage the complete accounting function independently, handling all day-to-day financial tasks, reporting, and compliance requirements without direct supervision.
Act as the sole point of contact for all accounting-related inquiries and operations, ensuring timely execution of all financial duties.
Continuous Process Improvement
Evaluate and streamline accounting processes to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and align with best practices.
Leverage technology and accounting software to enhance operational workflows and ensure data integrity.
Qualification
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification preferred).
Experience: At least 5-7 years of experience in accounting, with hands-on experience in managing both micro-level operational accounting tasks and macro-level strategic financial planning.
Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of ASEAN country financing, tax regulations, and financial standards (e.g., Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards, ASEAN tax laws).
Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SQL, SAP, or equivalent) and advanced Excel skills.
