Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, management reports, and analysis to ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and relevant regulations.Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and provide financial forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budget, analyze variances, and provide recommendations for improvement.Cash Flow & Treasury Management: Oversee cash flow management, ensuring the company's financial resources are optimized and that liquidity is maintained to meet operational requirements.Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with Malaysian tax regulations, including SST, income tax, and other local taxes. Coordinate with tax authorities and auditors for tax filings and assessments.Internal Controls & Audits: Develop and maintain robust internal controls to ensure accuracy in financial reporting. Coordinate with external auditors during audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior finance staff, providing training and guidance on accounting practices, financial software, and reporting procedures.Financial Strategy: Partner with senior management to provide financial insights that drive business strategy and decisions, including cost management, capital allocation, and investment analysis.Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on changes in local financial regulations (e.g., Companies Act, tax regulations, financial reporting standards) and ensure that the company adheres to all compliance requirements.System Improvements: Identify and implement improvements to accounting and financial processes, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or CIMA is highly preferred.Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role. • Skills:
o Strong knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and local tax laws.
o Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SQL,SAP, MYOB, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
o Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
o Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Preferred Qualifications
