Primarily supporting the Team Lead in capturing and handling of data related to Fixed Assets (FA).
Assist in preparation of schedules and reports for use by Management, internal and external auditors, statutory / government agencies mainly for Malaysia entity.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Close coordination with FA Coordinators on updates/status of FA acquisition, when FA can be capitalized and acquire supporting documents required.
Track and validate project costs posted in Oracle Construction in Progress (CIP) account.
Perform capitalization in Oracle EBS – transfer from Project Costing module to FA; manual addition and cost adjustment to FA.
Check and ensure capitalization are complete and depreciation run within range.
Maintaining Fixed Assets Count Schedule, coordinate and conduct periodic physical count of assets, or as needed.
Collate artifacts in support of SOX Controls for Capital Expenditures.
Other related jobs as advised by the superior from time to time.
Minimum Requirements:
Degree in Accounting field, professional course (ACCA) or equivalent.
Preferably 2 years and above of working experience in Fixed Assets Accounting / General Accounting or equivalent.
Well planned, organized with keen attention to detail.
Willing to work longer hours during month-end close and committed to timeline.
Willing to take up additional tasks as assigned by the superior.
