Responsibilities:Prepare and oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS/MFRS).
Liaise with external parties, e.g., auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, local tax, and government authorities.
Ensure the completeness, accuracy, and integrity of financial reports and disclosures.
Prepare the entity's financial statements for Biomedia group consolidation.
Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely completion.
Coordinate with various departments to collect necessary financial or non-financial information.
Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring proper classification and recording of financial transactions.
Implement and monitor effective internal controls related to general ledger activities.
Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations to ensure accurate consolidation of financial results.
Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to intercompany accounts.
Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and provide insights to senior management.
Participate in budget exercises, monitor budget performance, and perform variance analysis.
Prepare for direct and indirect tax matters (e.g., SST, Withholding Taxes, and Corporate Income Tax Return).
Assist in e-invoicing implementation and processing.
Assist in Transfer pricing exercise.
Identify opportunities for ERP and process improvements to enhance efficiency.
Analyze trends and variances in financial performance.
Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to team members.
Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Financial Manager.
Pre-requisites:Degree in Accounting or professional certificate such as ACCA, CPA, MIA or equivalent.
Proven experience with financial reporting, analysis, and general ledger management.
Minimal 3-5 years of experience in accounting and reporting role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
Knowledge in Navision ERP Accounting System will be advantageous.
Good command of spoken and written English.
Proficient in MS Office suite especially MS Excel (Pivot, V-Lookup) and PowerPoint.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Well organized, meticulous, analytical and able to work independently.
