The Accounting Associate will be responsible for creating and maintaining all accounting and bookkeeping records of the company and associated companies. In addition to the accounting role, the Associate will have the opportunity to work closely with the top management in the budgeting of expenses and projections of income as well as working with management on dynamic projects such as valuation justification models and preparation of reports for investors.
Primary Responsibilities:
-Maintaining accurate financial records through performing day-to-day bookkeeping, accounting adjustments and bank and partners reconciliation of the company and associated companies via cloud accounting systems
-Handling all payments and expenditures and liaise with internal and external parties
-Handling the preparation of the month end and year end closing procedures in a timely manner
-Assist in the preparation of the annual budgets and monitor the company's monthly financial performance and forecasts
-Preparation of internal and external reporting of financial data for management, investors, board, and regulatory body and for any other purposes
-Assist in the interim and year end audit, which includes field audit and preparation of annual financial statements of the entity and its associated entities as well as the consolidated financial statements
Secondary Responsibilities:
-Assist in the planning and management of day-to-day cash flow and working capital
-Assisting the top management with creation and refinement of financial projections along with budgeting expenses to be aligned with the strategic direction of the company
-Preparation of management reports on a real-time basis
-Working with the in-house programmers on continuous efficiency improvement efforts
-Assisting the management with related administrative and general requirements of the business as and when required (we're a fast-scaling start-up so everyone chips in anything and everything!)

-Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance. Minimum Advanced Diploma in Accounting
-Fresh graduates are welcome to apply with a requirement for strong academic results and active participation in curricular activities. Preferred disciplines include (but are not limited to) accounting (professional certifications would have priority) and finance
-Relevant experience in accounting and finance roles in the past would be appreciated
-Exceptional communication, interpersonal and networking skills with proven ability to develop and maintain effective business relationship
-Candidate must be innovative, confident, accountable, committed and have a strong sense of self-initiative for overall process improvement
-Ability to perform at a high level without significant supervision and with attention to detail
