About the job Accounting InternWe are looking for a driven Accounting Intern with a basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial principles and terms who is ready for an immersive, real-world experience.The Accounting Intern will have the opportunity to learn and gain first-hand experience in a real finance department for a corporate.They will help perform research, prepare financial reports, and assist with reconciling accounts and other duties, as needed.Under the supervision of senior staff, the Accounting Intern can expect to participate in the preparation of journal entries and financial reports, analyze actual financial data, learn more about accounting software, and assist with other accounting activities.They should be self-motivated team players who can maintain efficiency and accuracy when multitasking. To be a strong candidate for an Accounting Internship, they shall possess an understanding of accounting and financial principles and a positive attitude. You should be collaborative, trustworthy, receptive to feedback, and eager to learn.Accounting Intern Responsibilities:Shadowing members of the Finance department as they perform their duties and eventually learn to independently carry out the duties.
Processing vendor invoices and payments.
Working with accounting software (Navision) and business intelligence reporting software.
Preparing financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements, and submitting them to management for review.
Assisting with research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records.
Handling sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.
Taking on additional tasks or projects to learn more about accounting and operations.What will you take away:Learn how to work as part of the Accounting & Finance team to process accounting records, compile and analyze data, and track information supporting the Finance department of the company as a whole.
Understand and get exposure to management reporting and information used by management to assess a company's performance.Accounting Intern Requirements:Actively working towards a Bachelor's in Accounting.
Preferably with a CGPA of 3.5 or higher.
Satisfactory completion of introductory accounting courses and a basic understanding of accounting and financial principles (e.g. IFRS).
Aptitude for mathematics, proficiency with computers, strong analytical and critical mindset.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility.
