Accounting Specialist

**Requirements**:- Degree in Accountancy and/or equivalent professional qualification- Minimum 2-3 years of working experience in the related field- Able to work independently with mínimal supervision and meet deadlines- Self-motivated, fast learner and good attention to detail- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to communicate with various stakeholders (eg: upper management, external accountant, corporate secretaries etc.)- Strong problem solving and analytical skills- Good team player with a positive attitude**Responsibilities**:**Your responsibilities will include but not limited to**:- Responsible for the daily operations of the Accounting Department, such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Interco, Bank Reconciliation- Ensure that all payments and invoices are prepared promptly and has been processed and approved following proper internal control procedures and SOPs- Preparation of general ledger entries and ensuring all accounting records are properly updated in the accounting software with supporting documents- Ensure timely monthly/yearly closing of accounts and generation of financial reports- Assist in preparation of periodic management/statutory reports and schedulesEnsure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, financial policies and procedures- Assist in new processes and system implementation when required- Undertake any other ad hoc duties as and when assigned
