As an Accounts Assistant, you are accountable to ensure correct and on-time bookings in compliance with Global Accounting Routines and the Global Accounts Plan. You support the team and other stakeholders with relevant information and the preparation of monthly reports and ensure full compliance with all relevant local and tax requirements in terms of payments and reporting. The Accounts Assistant also always adheres to H&M Internal routines.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure correct and on-time accounting bookings as per the Global Accounting Routines and local legislation. Ensure full compliance with all relevant legal and tax requirements. Make correct and on-time payments, bank reconciliation as well as corporate card control. Support the yearly Statutory Audit with required information.
Investigate cash differences/shop balances and support the stores with information and guidance concerning accounting routines.
Update weekly exchange rate on H&M portal and check weekly claims submission ensuring it follows company rules and regulations.
Support Account Executives to follow up with Landlord on pending invoices/debit notes/credit notes. Support in monthly closing activities. Check and release invoices pending for payments.
Send and code supplier invoices in VIM. Secure bookings of all regular expenses during the month for accurate budget follow-up.
QualificationsTo be successful in the role as Accounts Assistant, you have strong knowledge of accounting and WHT/SST Legislation. You work with integrity and are well organized in your work with the ability to prioritize effectively.
What you need to succeed:
At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience
Good analytical skills and willingness to learn
Able to work in a high workload environment independently
Team player
Good PC knowledge
Additional InformationThis is a 6-month contract position based in the Malaysia Office reporting directly to the Accounts Manager.
