Preparing and reviewing financial statements, including profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow, and monthly management reports.Ensuring the safekeeping of assets, records, loan collateral, and securities.Coordinating year-end audits, including preparation and liaison with external auditors.Managing tax compliance, including preparing tax estimates and returns.Handling insurance claims and coordinating the company's risk and insurance programs.Evaluating and recommending improvements to financial systems and procedures.Maintaining the accounting software and supporting Accounts staff.Performing special or ad-hoc duties and projects as assigned by management. Qualifications and Skills Required The ideal candidate will have/be:
A bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, with ACCA/CPA preferred.At least 5 years of related work experience, membership in MIA is advantageous.Familiarity with SYSPRO and a strong understanding of corporate tax and financial regulations.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and numerical skills.Ability to lead and collaborate effectively within a team.Good organizational, multitasking, analytical and interpersonal skills, self-motivation, commercial awareness, initiative and proactive.Good verbal and written communication skills are essential.Proficiency in Excel, including lookups and pivot tables, and in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.Based in Alor Gajah, Melaka, and willing to travel to company branches as needed.
