**Job Description:**
Sunway Construction Group Berhad is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Associate to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing and processing our company's financial obligations while maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities:**
- **Invoice Processing:** Review, validate, and process incoming invoices accurately and efficiently. Ensure that invoices meet the company's requirements for approval and coding.
- **Payment Processing:** Manage and execute timely payments to vendors while adhering to payment terms. Maintain payment schedules and ensure appropriate cash flow management.
- **Vendor Management:** Act as the primary point of contact for vendors regarding payment inquiries. Foster open communication and resolve payment disputes swiftly.
- **Reconciliation:** Conduct monthly reconciliations of vendor statements to ensure accuracy and account for discrepancies. Collaborate with the procurement and finance teams to resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- **Record Keeping:** Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records and documentation. Ensure compliance with internal protocols and external regulations regarding financial transactions.
- **Expense Reporting:** Assist with the preparation and analysis of expense reports. Monitor the approval process and ensure that all expenses adhere to company policies.
- **Audit Support:** Assist in the preparation of documents for internal and external audits, ensuring that records are up-to-date and compliant with applicable regulations.
- **Process Improvement:** Identify opportunities for enhancing the accounts payable workflow, and assist in implementing best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- **Collaboration:** Work closely with team members and other departments to support overall financial operations and contribute to team objectives.
- **Special Projects:** Participate in special projects as needed, including system upgrades, software implementation, or process evaluations.
**Requirements:**
- **Educational Background:** Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- **Experience:** Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role, preferably within the construction or manufacturing sector.
- **Technical Skills:** Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with cloud-based financial systems is a plus.
