Aml Surveillance Specialist (1 Year Contract)

The AML Surveillance Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations and safeguarding the integrity of financial transactions within the organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in AML operation, including Transaction Monitoring (TM), EDD, Screenings (PEP/Blacklist/NNS/Sanctions) reviews, and experience of Transaction Monitoring and Suspicious Activity Information (SAI) filing will be a plus to the role. A successful candidate reporting to the AML regional operations and vendor management Team Lead, will oversee service delivery quality and drive the improvement of the operation processes.
Key Responsibilities: Quality Check: QC would perform sample check closed or escalated alerts and cases, and provide quality outcome.Quality Correction: Rework on QC identified error by following QC's instruction;Process Monitoring: Continuously monitor if the operation processes are properly performed and proactively observe the abnormal executions deviated from procedures.Data Accuracy: Accurately record information in systems and promptly escalate any anomalies or errors for resolution.Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that all AML operation goals are met.Reporting: Monthly QC report by work task/region.Continuous Improvement: Consolidate and analyse the periodical quality control result, accordingly raise the requirement for improvement, in fields of Process, System, and Training.Best Practices: Ensure adherence to best practices and effectively share within the team.Client Review: Ensure a clear and comprehensive review of existing clients for ongoing AML operation compliance purposes.Stakeholder Relationships: Establish and maintain effective relationships with vendor and other stakeholders involved in the AML operation process.Vendor Surveillance: Evaluate if vendor performance in comply with contractual obligations.Client Communication: Communicate with clients (RFI) as part of the client AML operation process in case needed. Requirements: Minimal 2-3 years of experience AML operation with experience of QC/SME or compliance checkBachelor degree or above, preferred in Banking/Fintech/Financial or International Trade or related majorsWorking knowledge and understanding of AML operation regulations and processes (TM,EDD,Screening)Lean thinker or process masterStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsYou should be proactive, organized and efficient - able to work well under pressureExcellent written and verbal communication skills, Mandarin skill will be preferredExtremely accurate with excellent attention to detailAbility to self-motivate, be motivated by your manager, and to motivate your colleaguesAble to multitask and manage tight timelines and deliverables.Responsive to clients and colleaguesOpen to change and future orientedSQL skills will be a plus
