Key Responsibilities
-Reconcile more complex accounts and check the accuracy of journal entries to ensure that the general ledger is accurate and complete.
-Prepare and review financial reports and accounting statements reports so that senior management has accurate and timely information for making financial decisions. These reports may include profit and loss statements, balance sheets, creditors list, accrual and Bank Reconciliation. Provide notes to PandL and Balance Sheets.
-Collect and compile stocks balance from stores. Maintain a complete accurate general ledger in accordance with accounting principles entries and post journal entries
-Follow up on provisions, accrual, stocks, utilities, rental and marketing reconciling, correction, and adjustments to assigned accounts under review, ensuring that the necessary actions are taken to clear such items timely.
-Review cash position and compile, verify and analyze cash flow information to prepare accurate daily, weekly and monthly cash status reports.
-Coordinates and supervises the maintenance of the general ledger and for the production of various resultant financial statements. Normally directs a group or section of general accountants.
-Provide technical accounting advice within area of expertise to functional or store managers to help them understand financial reports and manage their financial responsibilities.
-Liaises with external and internal auditor, tax agents, banks and government agencies
-Coach less experienced accounting staff and help them resolve problems.

; Requirements:- Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
-Accounting Degree or Professional qualification in Accountancy with 3-5 years related experience
-Sound knowledge of accounting, taxation standards and relevant regulatory requirements
-Experience in audit and tax (direct and indirect) is preferable for this position.
-Highly proficient in Microsoft Office application (Excel) and other related software.
-Ability to analyze problems and provide solutions
-Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
