Responsibilities:
Continuous review on PruBSN Risk Management Framework to be aligned with BNM's applicable requirements, any other local risk policies as well as Prudential Group's compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements such as Corporate Governance Manual and to also comply with local regulatory body.
Develops company risk information requirements, reporting thresholds and methods for determining priorities and to develop forward looking risk reports.
Leads the regular review, update and maintenance of the departments and Company's Risk Register.
Monitors, challenges and tests the adequacy and effectiveness of periodic review of risk assessment performed by risk coordinator and on the completeness of risk information.
Follow up regularly with respective risk coordinator on the implementation status (if any) linked to risk mitigation/control measures and identification of new risk. Undertake independent review and assessment of existing operational procedures for continuous improvement.
Identifies opportunities for the company wide mitigation of risk through central controls and processes and develops full-fledged risk management capabilities within the risk function.
Supports the Chief Risk Officer in the assessment and monitoring of the potential impact of contagion risks arising from other parties (outsource and/or distribution partners) as well as emerging risks.
Provides risk management guidance across the company and provides leadership to the Risk Management team.
Prepare Risk Management report to management and Board of Risk Management Committee.
Conduct and coordinates risk governance training / risk awareness programs across the company.
Perform any other task as may be directed by the Chief Risk Officer.
