The role involves assisting the Manager with month-end closing, reporting, and other tasks as defined, including the preparation of the Group Reporting submission pack and SOX/audit coordination.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Work closely with other departments to gather necessary information for month-end close.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Communicate effectively with various stakeholders to ensure smooth closing processes.
Preparation of board papers.
Preparation of Group Reporting submission pack (includes offline workbook and OneStream submission).
Coordinate the preparation and execution of SOX compliance activities. Overall coordinator for all processes.
Facilitate and manage audit processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion. Work closely with reporting team members to ensure all financial reporting is in compliance with SOX requirements.
Assist in any projects or ad-hoc tasks as defined by the superior.
JOB SPECIFICATION
Qualifications/Experience/Knowledge
Education
Diploma/Degree or higher in Finance-related discipline (Finance/Accounting) preferred. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a plus.
Key Attributes
Related experience of at least 2-4 years, preferably with 1-2 years in the financial services industry or from an audit environment.
A numerate and analytical mind.
The ability to be meticulous.
The ability to work under pressure.
Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision.
A quick learner and able to multi-task effectively.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
