About the role
This full-time Assistant Manager position presents an exciting opportunity to join the dynamic team atWNS Global Services, Inc.based in the vibrant city of Kuala Lumpur Sentral, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Insurance & Superannuation Claims operations, leveraging your strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
People & Team Management:
Drive operational efficiency and process improvements to achieve cost savings.
Monitor and maintain team absenteeism rates, targeting =9%.
Lead and manage impactful projects related to key customers and the WNS operation.
Ensure audit compliance by implementing root cause analysis and corrective actions in line with ISO standards and contractual requirements.
Prepare detailed managerial reports, using visual aids (charts, graphs, etc.) for senior leadership review.
Support team development through quarterly training (12 hours for skills development and 5 hours for BPET) per team member, aiming for at least 80% cross-functional proficiency.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, offering constructive feedback to promote career growth.
Maintain accurate logs for work, queries, and errors, and prepare timely, precise MIS reports for operational review.
Foster a positive team culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and mentorship to drive team and individual growth.
Subject Matter Expert (SME) Responsibilities:
Oversee entry and submission of risk data for specific business classes, ensuring timely and quality-driven processing.
Conduct quality control on team data entries to maintain accuracy and compliance.
Manage premium-related queries from Xchanging, addressing complex cases when needed.
Perform data quality checks, investigating and resolving discrepancies or escalating issues as appropriate.
Collaborate with broking teams to resolve queries and ensure prompt resolution of data issues.
Provide technical support and guidance to brokers and other teams.
Monitor exception reports and ensure timely follow-ups.
Perform additional operational tasks as required, acting as deputy in the absence of colleagues.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years' experience in operations management.
Comprehensive understanding of the insurance policy lifecycle.
Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal forms, with the ability to interact effectively with multiple stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for creating detailed reports and presentations.
Strong analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset and the ability to address complex operational issues.
