Position Overview:We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager – IT Infrastructure to manage and maintain our in-house IT systems. This role includes overseeing hyper-converged systems, legacy servers, networking, firewalls, VPNs, and private cloud VMs, as well as providing technical support for services like Microsoft365 and the Call Center system. The position requires continuous operational management, meeting service level agreements (SLAs) with a 2-hour recovery time objective (RTO), and supporting business continuity efforts. The ideal candidate will ensure IT system availability, performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
Primary Responsibilities:Infrastructure and Systems Management:
Manage, monitor, and enhance in-house hyper-converged infrastructure and legacy servers.
Ensure the efficient operation of network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls, to provide a secure and reliable IT environment.
Evaluate and implement capacity planning strategies for VMs and storage requirements.
Conduct routine maintenance, updates, and patches to sustain system stability.
Plan and execute integration of new systems and technologies into existing IT infrastructure.
Deploy and maintain IT monitoring tools to proactively detect and resolve issues.
Automate routine infrastructure tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure setups, configurations, and changes.
Provide regular reports on system performance, uptime, and incidents to management.
Private Cloud Operations:
Oversee the private cloud VM environment to maintain 24x7 availability and performance.
Implement proactive monitoring tools and respond swiftly to issues affecting operations.
Conduct capacity and performance assessments, ensuring scalability to meet organizational needs.
Security and Risk Management:
Develop and enforce infrastructure security policies and practices.
Perform regular vulnerability assessments and remediate findings promptly.
Assess and monitor third-party vendors and service providers to ensure their security practices align with organizational standards.
Include security requirements in vendor agreements and conduct periodic reviews.
Stay updated on emerging security threats and implement measures to mitigate risks.
Disaster Recovery and SLA Compliance:
Design, implement, and routinely test disaster recovery plans, achieving the 2-hour RTO target.
Monitor SLA adherence and ensure incident resolution aligns with business expectations.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve escalations and optimize services.
Secure backup systems to prevent unauthorized access or data loss.
Integrate security measures into disaster recovery and business continuity plans to safeguard data and operations during crises.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead and guide the infrastructure team, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.
Work closely with other departments to align IT infrastructure strategies with organizational goals.
Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and operational efficiency.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):System Reliability:Maintain a minimum uptime of 99.9% across all critical systems.
Incident Response:Address and resolve critical issues within SLA-defined timeframes, meeting the 2-hour RTO.
Security Compliance:Achieve zero tolerance for high-risk security vulnerabilities.
Operational Efficiency:Complete planned infrastructure enhancements on schedule and within budget.
Team Performance:Successfully lead the team in meeting or exceeding operational goals.
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related fields.
Have Security and Networking Industry class certifications.
At least 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure and operations management.
Hands-on expertise in hyper-converged systems, legacy servers, and private cloud management.
Strong knowledge of networking technologies such as HP Aruba, Allied Telesis, Zabbix Monitoring Tools, and Sophos firewalls & VPN.
Proficiency in virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, and Sangfor.
Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and decision-making skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proven track record of team leadership.#J-18808-Ljbffr
