We are currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team asAssistantManager – Operations . This is a full-time role, based in Kuala Lumpur: Megan Avenue 1, Jalan Tun Razak (10 mins walk from Ampang Park LRT).
In this role, you are expected to:Oversee and manage daily operations support functions including client subscription and redemption.
Execute daily fund transfers, managing the end-to-end money flow of customers' funds investment.
Monitoring reconciliations and ensure that balances are accurate, and discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.
Perform daily/weekly/monthly/periodic reconciliation for multiple types of reconciliation including bank reconciliation, broker reconciliation, intersystem and balance checking.
Manage and lead KYC operations, including executing processes in accordance with company's compliance policies.
Take ownership of operational tasks and continuously find ways to improve the efficiency of such tasks.
Management of mismatch identified during booking and Term Sheet reconciliation.
Generating reports for various senior management.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance the accuracy, timeliness, and effectiveness of operations.
Ability to supervise, motivate, train and manage team members to deliver an effective and efficient service.
To undertake ad-hoc Operations projects as and when required.
As a successful candidate, you'd ideally to have the following skills and exposure:Experience: 3+ years of experience in Operations within financial institutions such as asset management firms, banks, brokerage firms, etc
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field, however Degree in Accounting/Finance with ACCA qualifications is an added advantage.
Exposure to and/or passionate interest in financial markets, assets classes, market structure, industry news, and related trading systems.
Ability to work well under pressure with tight turnaround time and meeting the relevant deadlines.
Able to demonstrate the mind set and maturity to operate in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to grasp complex concepts swiftly and creatively solve problems on-the-fly.
Always work in a good team spirit. Reliable and connected to other team members.
Attention to detail and a hands-on approach to identify opportunities of process improvement.
