Assistant Manager/ Senior Exec, Medical UnderwriterUnderwriting (Insurance & Superannuation)
Conduct prudent medical and financial underwriting assessment on new business, endorsement/alteration and reinstatement applications. Ensure underwriting assessment adheres to underwriting authority, business rules & regulations, underwriting manual and service level agreement (SLA) benchmark.
Attend to internal and external enquiries or referrals. Analyse the enquiry/referral, provide solutions and respond according to turn-around-time (TAT).
Participate in system UAT activity, project and assignment in New Business department (e.g., for new product launching, system enhancement, production defect fix, process improvement).
Assist Manager in preparing department dashboard report and any other report as required for management or regulatory reporting.
Support Manager and Head of Department (HOD) in new business operations and work towards department targets. Ensure daily processing compliance to SOPs, policies and regulatory requirements.
Undertake any other assignment, duty or project as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
Job Requirements
At least 2 years working experience in medical underwriting of Life/Takaful insurance, Critical Illness, Accidental and Medical related products.
With substandard medical underwriting authority of minimum +50% extra mortality.
At least Degree level; academic background in medical related field is preferred (e.g., Degree in Biomedical, Bioscience or Science).#J-18808-Ljbffr
