About the Role
The Assistant Manager Supply Chain will oversee the effective management of supply chain operations, with a focus on P&L management, negotiation of rates, SOP governance, and project management. The role ensures efficient and cost-effective supply chain operations while adhering to company policies and standards.
Key Responsibilities
P&L Management:Oversee the financial aspects of the supply chain, including budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring profitability targets are met.
Analyze cost structures and identify areas for cost reduction and operational efficiencies.
Prepare monthly financial reports and provide insights to management.Negotiation of Rates:Lead negotiations with vendors, carriers, and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
Continuously monitor market trends to ensure optimal procurement strategies.
Manage contracts with third-party logistics providers and ensure compliance with agreed terms.SOP Governance:Ensure the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across supply chain operations.
Conduct regular audits to ensure all processes align with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Provide training to team members to ensure adherence to SOPs and process optimization.Project Management:Manage supply chain projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve logistics, inventory, and procurement processes.
Implement process improvements and innovative solutions to enhance supply chain efficiency.What You Need To Have
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Proven experience in P&L management, cost analysis, and financial reporting.
Strong negotiation skills with experience in rate agreements and vendor management.
Solid understanding of SOP development and compliance.
