Assistant Vice President, Group Legal (Corporate Banking/Capital Market)

JOB PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE Manage and mitigate legal risks for Kenanga Group through documentation reviews, advisory, establishment of policies and standard documentation in order to ensure that the Group's legal rights are protected.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Legal review and advice
Provide advisory and legal review of documents on capital market related products such as Debt Capital Market, Corporate Loan, Equity Capital MarketCoordinate and liaise with external solicitors, if necessaryGroup wide legal policies and standard documentation establishment and enhancement
Establish and review frameworks, policies or procedures to govern requirements pursuant to new laws from time to time, as tasked by the HODEstablish standard documentation to be adhered by the relevant departments, as tasked by the HODJOB REQUIREMENTS Degree in Law and admitted to Malaysian Bar is added advantageMinimum 3 years of working experience in the securities and financial industry, or regulatory bodies, or relevant experience in law firmsExperience and knowledge in the Capital Market is advantageous.Good knowledge in law, especially in the areas of contract law.Good drafting skillsGood analytical skills in order to see issues clearly and provide concise and precise advices
