Job Responsibilities:Providing legal services to various departments within the Group and subsidiaries in all legal matters.
Drafting and vetting all documents for the Group and subsidiaries on all legal matters involving corporate, commercial transactions, conveyancing, construction, joint venture agreements, contracts, financing, and/or any other legal documents.
Providing legal advice and support to various departments within the Group, its subsidiaries, and affiliates on matters affecting business administration, HR and operations, corporate and commercial activities.
Monitoring all legal files and disputes involving court litigation, arbitration, and/or tribunal for the Group and its subsidiaries.
Liaising with various departments within the Group, subsidiaries, external solicitors, and government departments on any legal issues and matters.
Preparing any paperwork on any legal issue for circulation and approval by management or the respective committee or Board of Directors, as the case may be.
Assisting the superior in all legal issues and matters including drafting, vetting, and advising on any contract, agreement, or legal document.
Monitoring the performance panel of solicitors.
The Incumbent:Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) from a local University.
Admitted to the High Court of Malaya (called to Malaysian Bar).
10 to 12 years of working experience with a minimum of 3 to 4 years as a professional practitioner (corporate and property industry lawyer) working in any legal firm and 6 to 8 years as in-house legal counsel ideally from Government-Linked Companies (GLC) or Property or Construction Industry companies or corporations.
Good communication skills and leadership capability.
Knowledgeable in the legal and regulatory framework for the property and construction industry.
Experienced, analytical, and able to conduct legal research, analysis, and issue legal opinions.
Proficient in both oral and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.#J-18808-Ljbffr
