We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Associate Director, based in Malaysia. Reporting to the Head, Corporate Secretarial - Malaysia, this full-time and permanent position is based in Penang and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our corporate services and its' growth.
Key Responsibilities:Assisting in all aspects of corporate secretarial functions and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulatory requirements.
Drafting the notices of meetings, attending meetings with the Company Secretary and/or senior team members, and drafting the minutes of meetings.
Responsible for the timely preparation of documents including but not limited to, board and members' resolutions, annual returns, forms for lodgement with the Companies Commission of Malaysia.
Responsible for delivering client services within the established timeline.
Responsible for maintaining the statutory books and records of clients.
Assisting in the drafting of announcements to Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad.
Ensuring strict adherence to internal policies/standard operating procedures.
Responsible for timely billings and collections.
Performing any other tasks as assigned by Management.
Key Requirements:Must have/must be:
At least 2-4 years of relevant working experience for Associate level. For Assistant Associate role, fresh graduate or limited related working experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.
Recognised Degree/Diploma in Corporate Administration, or currently pursuing MAICSA/MAICSA Chartered Governance Qualifying Programme ("CGQP"). Candidates with Degree in Law or in other related disciplines are also encouraged to apply.
Fair knowledge of the Companies Act 2016 and Guidelines and Practice Notes issued by the Companies Commission of Malaysia for Associate role.
Good communications skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, and confidence in a client-facing role.
Good command of both spoken and written English.
A good sense of urgency and is able to work effectively under pressure.
The ability to identify and demonstrate clear comprehension of clients' and organisational needs.
A strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail in delivering quality work.
Willing to travel.
Good to have:
MAICSA qualification or completed the MAICSA CGQP.
Basic knowledge of Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad.
Experience in supporting corporate secretarial work for public listed companies.
