Currie & Brown is currently looking for a bid manager for our APAC region, to be based in our Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia office.
The successful candidate will take the lead on all major bid projects and be accountable for collating, writing and producing all the content.
Responsibilities:Working with the APAC senior management team to create and deliver successful strategies for the entire bidding process
Writing compelling and engaging bid proposals for clients across a range of sectors and for different services including quantity surveying, project management and programming
Taking early-stage draft responses to both general and technical questions and crafting final versions in a style appropriate for the submission
Developing the key skills for producing high-quality bid documentation in English and Chinese
Identifying important win themes and writing and editing content that speaks directly to the client's needs
Ensuring submission documents are fully compliant with client specifications
Developing and maintaining a technical response database that can be readily shared with technical and marketing staff
Developing content for the company's content library ensuring the language, tone and style meet the branding guidelines
Reviewing and editing previously written content where necessary
Working with other marketing/business development team members to produce written bid responses and presentation collateral in line with deadlines
Developing strong relationships with operations to create case studies, professional profiles and draft management plans to support our bids
Establishing procedures for maintaining a register of bids, tenders and proposals for the APAC region and overseeing its subsequent maintenance
Taking part in presentations and helping to produce all supporting documentation
Ensuring a cohesive and consistent approach for all publications
Requirements:Ability to manage the bid process including motivating the technical and support teams, challenging accepted practices and delivering a professionally written and presented bid document
A minimum of five years' experience of bid writing within the construction or project design sector a definite advantage
Good internal communication skills
Ability to bridge the technical information possessed by the technical teams into a high-quality bid document
A high attention to detail with an excellent editing and proofing ability
Effective writing skills in English and Simplified Chinese
Excellent literacy skills, with an extensive vocabulary
Deadline-driven with effective time management skills
