JOB PURPOSE
The job holder is responsible for managing and maintaining a client portfolio through timely and accurate invoicing in accordance with agreed premiums and frequency. He/She coordinates with various internal stakeholders regarding new business, renewals, credit control, and commissions. Focus on both premium billing & commission and credit control. Formulates and defines billing and commission scope, objectives, and requirements based on both clients' needs and a thorough understanding of business systems. For the credit control process, this role will take the responsibility of data generation, updates, and summaries. Maintain credit control report and blacklist. Coordinates suspension of service and legal action between different jurisdictions.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Reviews and sets up new groups for related products, premiums, benefits, and enrollment.
Reviews and bills clients in accordance with the agreed billing frequency.
Engages with clients to build working relationships and educate them around invoicing and payment ensuring consistency across regions.
Communicates with clients as necessary to ensure accuracy of information.
Responds to client queries regarding eligibility and billing and liaises with different teams within the organization.
Provides reports on invoicing, commissions, and credit control to management as required.
Follows up and reports on outstanding premium payments in line with credit control procedures, liaising with different teams within the organization as necessary.
Ensures accurate and timely settlement of commission due.
Maintains market-specific requirements ensuring they are adhered to.
Identifies potential improvements and makes recommendations to Supervisor/Team Leader.
Maintains accurate files for each client in respect of related products, coverage, and contacts.
Works with cross-department colleagues to process premium billing and billing issues.
Generates premium billing for new/renewal/termination business cases.
Conducts premium data reconciliation with internal and external clients.
Manually revises premium billing and system data.
Maintains credit control report and blacklist.
Adds and uploads bank information of broker set up.
Coordinates suspension of service and legal action between Singapore/HK Sales/CM Team.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree or above.
1-2 years of work experience in billing, collection, and accounting in a life/medical insurance company.
Finance background is preferred.
Fluent verbal and written skills in English; Mandarin is nice to have.
Solid knowledge of IT packages including Excel and Word.
Strong interpersonal skills with excellent written/verbal communication skills.
Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage workflow to meet individual and team production standards.
Attention to detail, with a high level of accuracy.
Ability to work under pressure/own initiative.
Good analytical skills.
Excellent numeric skills.
Customer-focused with developed problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to proposing/implementing process improvements.
Higher Grade English & Arithmetic or equivalent.
High level of PC skills.
Should be flexible to work in shifts and on staggered weekends.
