The Business Analyst's role is clearly defining project goals and aligning with stakeholder needs through requirements gathering and process analysis. By acting as a bridge between IT and business units, the Business Analyst facilitates effective communication and collaboration, significantly reducing the risk of project delays and misalignments.
Responsibilities:
Conduct a thorough analysis of business processes, systems, and data to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
Gather, document, and manage business requirements from stakeholders across various departments and store locations.
Develop and maintain detailed process maps, workflows, and use case scenarios to support system implementations and process improvements.
Collaborate with IT teams to translate business requirements into functional software development or system enhancements specifications.
Perform data analysis and create reports to support decision-making and identify trends or patterns in business operations.
Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to elicit requirements, validate solutions, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Develop and maintain project documentation, including business requirement documents, functional specifications, and user manuals.
Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide training to end-users on new systems or processes.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to implemented solutions and business processes.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in business analysis and retail operations.
Collaborate with vendors and external partners to implement and integrate new technologies or systems.
Support change management initiatives by communicating changes and benefits to affected stakeholders.
Requirements:
Possess Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or any relevant courses.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the retail or convenience store industry.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex business needs into clear requirements.
Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques, such as process mapping, requirements gathering, and data modeling.
Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Knowledge of retail operations, point-of-sale systems, and inventory management processes is highly desirable.
CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) certification or equivalent is preferred but not required.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment.
