Job Description
Responsible for eliciting, analyzing, and validating the required specifications/requirements for software products. The role involves defining the feasibility of a solution, its implementation, its interaction with existing systems, and improving the cost-effectiveness of the project/product.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Communicate with all stakeholders and engineers at all levels of the SDLC.
Analyze and decompose complex requirements.
Analyze existing systems and highlight areas of improvement.
Perform gap analysis and recommend solutions.
Participate in project work scoping and requirements analysis, business process analysis, and system architecture design.
Document requirements, technical design specifications, functional specifications, and software architecture documents.
Oversee the development of the product as per the specifications.
Validate the functionality of the software product according to the requirement specifications.
Write and maintain product documentation, including product data sheets, solution white papers, presentation slides, and manuals (e.g., User Manual, Installation Manual, Training Manual, Troubleshooting Guide, etc.).
Participate in maintaining the document repository, document control, and document versioning.
Conduct product training where necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Able to work within tight deadlines.
Education and Skills Required:
Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Telecommunication.
Minimum of 3 years in software programming and designing/architecting solutions based on user requirements.
Experience in basic practical software development and familiarity with some of the following development syntax: Python, C, C++, C#, ASP.NET, Java, XML, XAML, AJAX, DHTML, JavaScript, VBScript, and other scripting languages (i.e., LUA).
Familiarity with Microsoft .NET technologies and relational databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server) and designing solutions on different platforms (e.g., web-based n-tier, client-server models, iOS, Android, etc.).
Experience in writing technical documents at all levels of the SDLC (e.g., Technical Design Spec, Functional Spec, User/Installation/Training Manuals, White Papers, Data Sheets, technical presentations, etc.).
Experience in conducting business process analysis and requirement gathering.
Knowledge and experience in development, testing, or requirement study in national identity or passport systems would be an advantage.
Knowledge and experience in CMMI documentation and processes would be an advantage.
