Description
Primary Responsibilities:
Build and maintain strong working relationships with all departments and managers across the company.
Prepare monthly reports and analysis, including Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and P&L.
Conduct monthly forecasts and analyses on the Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and P&L.
Oversee the preparation and consolidation of the yearly budget, ensuring timely and accurate data collection.
Document financial closing procedures and maintain risk and control matrices for all areas.
Actively monitor and ensure effective control operations across the company.
Manage all treasury-related matters, including payments and forecasts.
Ensure compliance with company and head office financial and accounting requirements.
Complete other ad-hoc tasks as required by management or head office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare financial statements for the company/group and ensure the timely completion of annual audits and corporate submissions.
Provide monthly reporting and analysis, including Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, P&L, GL reconciliation, and supporting schedules.
Assist with the yearly budget submission, ensuring data is accurately collected and consolidated on time.
Support smooth internal audits and operational reviews by providing required information and ensuring operational internal controls.
Actively ensure internal controls are sufficient, operational, and recommend areas for improvement.
Manage fixed assets, including reconciling and tagging.
Ensure compliance with company and head office financial and accounting standards.
Facilitate proper coordination between teams and other departments.
Ensure compliance with all government filings and regulations, including tax matters.
Assist with transfer pricing issues as needed.
Complete additional ad-hoc tasks as directed by management or head office.
Profile
Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years, including experience in multinational, retail, or FMCG finance departments.
Qualifications: MIA, CPA, ACCA, or similar certification.
Familiarity with US GAAP or accounting practices in large multinational companies.
Knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations and reporting requirements.
Proactive and driven individual, capable of working independently or collaborating effectively within a team environment.
Resourceful with a strong ability to solve problems and adapt as needed.
Excellent project management abilities, with a proven track record of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Skilled in data analysis and synthesis.
Proficient in MS PowerPoint and Excel.
