Department Overview
Motorola Solutions is looking for a dynamic and collaborative individual to work within our Systems Integration International Finance team. A core part of the role is specifically accountable for and focused on overseeing and coordinating the project financials on critical, highly visible deployment projects in Oman. However, the role will also work across the International region in developing the Finance support, partnership and insight on Emerging Technologies in the Systems Integration (SI) business. This is a business critical role that will directly support the Oman project team, as well as our Systems Integration leadership team for International.
Job Description
Lead the rolling forecast (CV) process for Oman, covering revenue, margin and cash, including preparation, review/interlock with key stakeholders, insight and submission.
Control and forecasting of other key project metrics, such as the quarterly POC Asset/Liability position and Billing status.
Risk management and control, evaluating, modeling and providing early warning of opportunities and risks.
Conduct bi-weekly Outlook review calls, leading the SI VP through a regular health check on the financials.
Participate in business review preparation for Oman and Emerging Technologies.
Support the local project team in Quarterly Project Reviews (QPR), managing key messages and financial outcomes.
Prepare and periodically update Exec level project and business summaries for Operations Reviews.
Ensure local compliance and audits, partnering with the Project Controlling team and local teams.
Support project teams and customers, developing and monitoring project budgets.
Monitor project expenditures, analyze cost trends, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Coordinate with project teams for accurate and timely submission of financial data.
Coordinate the Long Range Plan (LRP) process for Oman.
Develop and embed reporting for SI International regarding Emerging Technologies.
Partner with the UC SI Leader to enhance reporting and insight standards.
Basic Requirements
University Degree preferred.
Accounting certification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) required.
5+ years of experience in Finance/Accounting roles, preferably in a complex, matrixed organization.
Finance Project Controlling or Business Partnering experience is advantageous.
Effective communicator with the ability to work inclusively across functions and up to senior stakeholder level.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to simplify large volumes of data.
Financial modeling skills.
A resilient attitude with the ability to improve current processes.
Good appreciation of local accounting and US GAAP standards.
Proficient in MS Office and Essbase; GSheet knowledge is advantageous.
Willingness to travel to Oman (up to 10% of the time).
