Summary:
The Director, Business Development is a key role within the Sales leadership team and will be responsible in defining and implementing a sales strategy within their region to deliver branded fuel growth.
This position requires a seasoned sales professional with strong business acumen, excellent communication and relationship-building skills and a passion for growth.
You will be accountable for profitably growing top line revenue through new business & retention, as well as play a significant role in identifying and integrating acquisition targets that fit the segment growth strategy.
Because you sit at the table with key decision makers with our (potential) clients, you quickly become an influential asset to their marketing or event team. You have unique insight into what works best for live communication events and trade show participation and your ability to bring clients' dreams to life is invaluable.
Key Accountabilities:
Secure and Develop Business Opportunities:
· Develop a customised sales strategy that aligns with BrandMe's licensing regulations and client needs, ensuring a deep understanding of requirements.
· Performing client research, prospecting, and networking.
Engage Clients and Manage Relationships:
· Build and maintain strong relationships with both current and potential clients.
· Respond promptly to inquiries, follow-up calls, and requests for proposals (RFPs).
· Manage a high volume of engagements in a fast-paced environment.
Grow Accounts and Increase Revenues:
· Define growth strategies through market research and launch initiatives for revenue and GMV growth.
· Able to identify and penetrate new market for business opportunities to drive sales growth.
Present and Communicate:
· Create compelling pitch.
· Provide regular reports and updates to management on business development activities and progress towards targets.
Qualifications
· 10 years of business development experience, with exposure to event or exhibition; less experienced candidates considered if meeting other criteria.
· Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent experience.
· Proven ability to build and leverage C-level relationships, and extensive senior-level connections across industries.
· Strong analytical skills to lead complex deals, combining business, strategy, finance, and legal aspects.
· Track record in cultivating, negotiating, and growing partnerships.
· Experience in effectively engaging and maintaining dialogue with government officials.
· Excellent interpersonal skills for effective negotiation and coordination with cross-functional teams.
· Fluent proficiency in English and Mandarin at a professional level.
· Willingness to travel locally for client engagement.
