Business Development Executive (Merchant Acquisition)

Responsibilities:
Prospect, identify, and acquire new merchants through face-to-face, cold calling, networking, and referrals.
Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our merchant base.
Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants, understanding their needs and providing solutions that align with our platform's offerings.
Collaborate closely with the marketing team to create and implement effective lead generation campaigns and promotional activities.
Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to merchants, showcasing the benefits and features of our platform.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with merchants, ensuring terms are favourable and in line with company objectives.
Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts and reports to management, keeping them informed of progress and challenges.
Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to identify opportunities for growth.
Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and workshops to enhance sales skills and product knowledge.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Knowledgeable and passionate about Payment System / QR Ordering / POS System / Loyalty Programme / SaaS
Comes with sales experience, preferably in FMCG / Retail / F&B industry
Proven track record of success in sales, preferably in merchant acquisition or a related field.
Strong sales aptitude with a passion for meeting and exceeding targets.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
Flexibility to travel and attend client meetings as required.
